Verification of Mechanical Completion:
- Inspect mechanical systems such as piping, valves, pressure vessels, compressors, and tanks to confirm compliance with engineering designs and project requirements.
- Ensure systems meet industry standards, regulatory codes, and company specifications.
System Walkdowns and Punch Listing:
- Conduct system walkdowns with construction, engineering, and quality teams to identify incomplete or defective work.
- Create and manage punch lists (a list of outstanding items or issues needing resolution) and track their resolution to completion.
Document Review and Validation:
- Review mechanical drawings, datasheets, and specifications to validate the installed equipment matches the design.
- Ensure proper documentation is in place, including installation records, testing certificates, and vendor data.
Mechanical Testing and Integrity Checks:
- Oversee or perform pressure tests (e.g., hydrostatic or pneumatic), leak tests, and mechanical run-ins to verify system integrity and functionality.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to address any discrepancies or equipment issues.
Coordination with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with construction, project engineering, commissioning teams, and third-party inspectors to ensure a smooth handover.
- Act as a liaison between the construction and commissioning teams, resolving technical and mechanical issues as they arise.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all mechanical completion activities are conducted safely and in line with Linde’s stringent safety protocols and industrial gas standards.
- Verify compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Handover Preparation:
- Prepare systems for the handover to the commissioning team, ensuring all required mechanical completion certificates (MCCs) are signed off.
- Support the transition from the construction phase to the commissioning phase by ensuring all mechanical systems are ready for startup.
